Quote: open an item in a Public Folder in Outlook that holds a list of contact details The item you said, is it a distribution list? If yes, please see KB 894530 Troubleshooting: 1. Is the issue only happened on one item in the problematic public folder? 2. Is the issue only happened on one public folder? 3. Please recreate one same type item in the problematic public folder, see if the issue still persists 4. Is the issue only happened via one outlook client? Please test if the symptom also occurs when we reproduce the issue in another PC with another users outlook profile Resources: If the outlooks version is 2007, please see KB 945014

Hi James-Luo,There is a Public Folder (Contacts) containing various items. One of these items is the Distribution List that I am having problems with. All other DL's are fine within PF.Here are the responses to your questions;1. So far, it's only happening on this one DL.2. As above3. Have done - no issue is replicated4. The problem is occuring to anyone who tries to access the Distribution List.I've read KB 89430, but the user is adding entries via her Outlook not via OWA. The problem started yesterday morning when she added some contacts and closed the DL. When she tried to open it again, she was presented with the 'Not enought memory' error. So, I'm at a loss as to what the problem is.Cheers

There is a size limitation for distribution list, which is 8 KB. The most possible cause for this issue is, the limit has been exceeded Resolution: Create a new PST with a Contact folder in it, drag&drop the problematic DL into the newly created Contact folder and see if you can open the DL. If you can, refer the Resolution section in KB 238569 and split DL into two, and then move them back to public folder

In outlook, right clcik on contact folder which has the distro list and go to properties, go to outlook address book tab and select show this folder as an email address book. I was able to copy the distro group to pst and open it just fine. Moving it back did not help.
